وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ أَصُومَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ أَوَّلُهَا الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيس. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد وَالنَّسَائِيّ
On the authority of Umm Salamah, she said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to order me to fast three days of every month, the first of which was Monday. And Thursday. Narrated by Abu Dawud and Al-Nasa’i
