On the authority of Hisham ibn Urwa, on the authority of his father, that Hisham ibn Hakim passed through the Levant to meet people from the Nabataeans who were standing in the sun, and oil was poured on their heads, and he said: مَا هَذَا؟ It was said: They will be tortured for the tax, and Hisham said: I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “Indeed, God He tortures those who torture people in this world.” Narrated by Muslim
