On the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “What do you consider to be the martyr among you?” They said: O Messenger of God, whoever is killed in the cause of God is a martyr. He said: “The martyrs of my nation, then, are few: whoever is killed in the cause of God is a martyr.” And whoever dies in the cause of God, it is he A martyr, and whoever dies of the plague is a martyr, and whoever dies of the stomach is a martyr.” Narrated by Muslim.
