وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاسْتَأْذَنَهُ فِي الْجِهَادِ فَقَالَ: «أَحَي والدك؟» قَالَ: نَعَمْ قَالَ: «فَفِيهِمَا فَجَاهِدْ» . مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ. وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: «فَارْجِعْ إِلَى وَالِدَيْكَ فَأَحْسِنْ صُحْبَتَهُمَا»
On the authority of Abdullah bin Amr, he said: A man came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and asked him for permission to engage in jihad. He said: “Does your father live?” He said: Yes. He said: “So he struggled in both of them.” agreed. And in a narration: “Go back to your parents and be good friends with them.”
