وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سابَقَ بينَ الخيلِ الَّتِي أُضمِرَتْ منَ الحَفْياءِ وَأَمَدُهَا ثَنِيَّةُ الْوَدَاعِ وَبَيْنَهُمَا سِتَّةُ أَمْيَالٍ وَسَابَقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ الَّتِي لَمْ تَضْمُرُ مِنَ الثِّنْيَةِ إِلَى مَسْجِد بني زُرَيْق وَبَينهمَا ميل
And on the authority of Abdullah bin Omar: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, raced between the horses that had been swaddled from the hafiyah and led them by Thaniyat al-Wada’ and between them. Six miles, and he raced between the horses that were not hampered from Al-Thaniyah to the Mosque of Banu Zurayq, a mile between them.
