Hadith #51512
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
" خَالِفُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ: أَوْفِرُوا اللِّحَى وَأَحْفُوا الشَّوَارِبَ ". وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: «أنهكوا الشَّوَارِب وأعفوا اللحى»
On the authority of Ibn Umar, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:
“Differ from the polytheists: grow long beards and trim moustache.” And in a narration: “Grow out the mustaches and grow the beards.”
