وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِفَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ: مَا لِي أَرَاكَ شَعِثًا؟ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَنْهَانَا عَنْ كَثِيرٍ مِنَ الإِرفاه قَالَ: مَالِي لَا أَرَى عَلَيْكَ حِذَاءً؟ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نحتفي أَحْيَانًا. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
On the authority of Abdullah bin Buraida, he said: A man said to Fadalah bin Ubaid: What is the matter with me that I see you disheveled? He said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to forbid us from many luxuries. He said: Why do I not see shoes on you? He said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to command us to Sometimes we celebrate. Narrated by Abu Dawood
