Hadith #51590
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Gabriel, peace be upon him, came to me and said: I came to you yesterday, but he did not prevent me.” I would have entered except that there were statues on the door and there was a curtain in the house with statues in it and there was a dog in the house and it ran away. With the head of the statue that is at the door of the house, let it be cut off and make it look like a tree. And as for the covering, let it be cut off and made into two cast-off pillows. Settle down and pass the dog and let it come out.” So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did so. Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawood
