وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْتِي دَارَ قَوْمٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَدُونَهُمْ دَارٌ فَشَقَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ تَأْتِي دَارَ فُلَانٍ وَلَا تَأْتِي دَارَنَا. فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لِأَنَّ فِي دَارِكُمْ كَلْبًا» . قَالُوا: إِنَّ فِي دَارِهِمْ سِنَّوْرًا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «السِّنَّوْرُ سَبْعٌ» . رَوَاهُ الدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to visit the homes of a group of people from the Ansar, and there was a home next to them, so that was difficult for them. They said: O Messenger of God, you come to the house of so-and-so and do not come to our house. Then the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Because there is a dog in your house.” They said: There are cats in their house, so the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “There are seven cats.” Narrated by Al-Daraqutni
