Hadith #52350
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { لَا تَدْفِنُوا مَوْتَاكُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ إِلَّا أَنْ تُضْطَرُّوا } أَخْرَجَهُ ابْنُ مَاجَه ْ 1 . وَأَصْلُهُ فِي
"مُسْلِمٍ", لَكِنْ قَالَ: زَجَرَ أَنْ يُقْبَرَ اَلرَّجُلُ بِاللَّيْلِ, حَتَّى يُصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ.1 - صحيح. رواه ابن ماجه ( 1521 ).
On the authority of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Do not bury your dead at night unless you are compelled to do so.” [Reported by Ibn Majah 1. Its origin is in Muslim, but he said: He forbade burying a man at night until the funeral prayer had been performed for him. 1 - Authentic. Narrated by Ibn Majah (1521).]
