Hadith #52350
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ ‏- رضى الله عنه ‏- أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-قَالَ: { لَا تَدْفِنُوا مَوْتَاكُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ إِلَّا أَنْ تُضْطَرُّوا } أَخْرَجَهُ ابْنُ مَاجَه ْ 1‏ .‏ وَأَصْلُهُ فِي "مُسْلِمٍ", لَكِنْ قَالَ: زَجَرَ أَنْ يُقْبَرَ اَلرَّجُلُ بِاللَّيْلِ, حَتَّى يُصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ.‏‏1 ‏- صحيح.‏ رواه ابن ماجه ( 1521 )‏.‏
On the authority of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Do not bury your dead at night unless you are compelled to do so.” [Reported by Ibn Majah 1. Its origin is in Muslim, but he said: He forbade burying a man at night until the funeral prayer had been performed for him. 1 - Authentic. Narrated by Ibn Majah (1521).]
