وَعَنْ عُمَرَ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: { قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ! إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ فِي اَلْجَاهِلِيَّةِ; أَنْ أَعْتَكِفَ لَيْلَةً فِي اَلْمَسْجِدِ اَلْحَرَامِ. قَالَ:
"فَأَوْفِ بِنَذْرِكَ" } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 وَزَادَ اَلْبُخَارِيُّ فِي رِوَايَةٍ 2 { فَاعْتَكَفَ لَيْلَةً } 3 .1 - صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 2032 )، ومسلم ( 1656 ).2 - ووقع في "أ" : "روايته".3 - البخاري ( 2042 ).
On the authority of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: “I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! I made a vow during the pre-Islamic era to observe i'tikaf for a night in the Sacred Mosque.’ He said, ‘Then fulfill your vow.’” (Agreed upon). 1. Al-Bukhari added in a narration 2: “So he observed i'tikaf for a night.” 3. 1. Authentic. Narrated by Al-Bukhari (2032) and Muslim (1656). 2. In manuscript “A” it reads: “his narration.” 3. Al-Bukhari (2042).
