Hadith #52779
وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ ‏- رضى الله عنه ‏- { أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-نَهَى عَنْ لُبْسِ الْقَسِيِّ وَالْمُعَصْفَرِ } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1‏ .‏‏1 ‏- صحيح.‏ رواه مسلم (2078)‏، وتمامه: "وعن تختم الذهب.‏ وعن قراءة القرآن في الركوع".‏ القسي: هي ثياب مضلعة بالحرير تجلب من مصر تعمل بالقس وهي قرية على ساحل البحر قريبة من تنيس.‏ المعصفر: المصبوغ بالعصفر، وهو صبغ أصفر اللون.‏
There is an Idraj in its last part. So the narration is weak whether Marfu' [reaching back to the Prophet (ﷺ)] or Mawquf (saying of a Companion). And it's meaning is to put (one's) hands on his waist. This Hadith is more authentic than the Hadith narrated by Wa'il bin Hujr (RA).
