Sahih Muslim — Hadith #15078
Hadith #15078
(Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the battle of Wadi Buwat. He was looking for Majdi bin Amr al-Jahani, the chief of the tribe of Juhaina. We were sitting on a camel carrying water, five, six or seven of us, in turns. When the turn came for a man from the Ansar to sit on his camel, he sat it down and mounted it. Then he raised it, but it delayed rising for some time, so he said: Stand up, may Allah curse you. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Who is this who curses his camel?" He said: "Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)!" He said: "Get down from it, and let not the one who has been cursed accompany us. Do not curse yourself, nor your children, nor your livestock. Do not delay the hour of Allah (the appointed time of acceptance) in which whatever is asked for will be given to you."
