Sunan an-Nasa'i — Hadith #24323

Hisham bin Ammar told us, he said, Yahya bin Hamza told us, he said, Al-Awza’i told me, on the authority of Abu Al-Najashi, on the authority of Rafi’, he said, “He came to us.” Zuhair bin Rafi’, and he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade me about a matter that Rafiq was of ours. I said: What is that? He said the matter of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said, “And it is true. He asked me, ‘How do you produce it in your fields?’ I said, ‘We rent it for a quarter and an inch of dates or barley.’” He said. “But do not do so. Plant it, grow it, or keep it.” Narrated by Bukayr bin Abdullah bin Al-Ashjaj on the authority of Usayd bin Rafi’, so he assigned the narration to my brother Rafi’.
