Sunan an-Nasa'i — Hadith #24326

Muhammad ibn Hatim informed us, he said, Hibban informed us, he said, Abdullah informed us, on the authority of Sa`id ibn Yazid Abi Shuja`, he said, Isa told me. Ibn Sahl Ibn Rafi’ Ibn Khadij, he said, “I am an orphan in the care of my grandfather Rafi’ Ibn Khadij. I reached a man and performed Hajj with him, so my brother Imran Ibn Khadij came.” Sahl ibn Rafi’ ibn Khadij said, “O my father, we have granted so-and-so land to us for two hundred dirhams.” So he said, “O my son, leave that one.” God Almighty will provide you with a livelihood other than that. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade leasing land.
