حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي دَيْنٍ كَانَ عَلَى أَبِي، فَدَقَقْتُ الْبَابَ، فَقَالَ: «مَنْ ذَا؟» فَقُلْتُ: أَنَا، قَالَ: «أَنَا، أَنَا؟» ، كَأَنَّهُ كَرِهَهُ
Abu Al-Walid narrated to us, saying: Shu’bah narrated to us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Al-Munkadir, who said: I heard Jabir saying: I came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, about a religion. It was my father's, so I knocked on the door, and he said: “Who is that?” So I said: I. He said: “I, I?” As if he hated it
