Adabul Mufrad # 0/1147
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الْمَوَالِي قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ: أُوذِنَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ بِجِنَازَةٍ، قَالَ: فَكَأَنَّهُ تَخَلَّفَ حَتَّى أَخَذَ الْقَوْمُ مَجَالِسَهُمْ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ مَعَهُ، فَلَمَّا رَآهُ الْقَوْمُ تَسَرَّعُوا عَنْهُ، وَقَامَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْهُ لِيَجْلِسَ فِي مَجْلِسِهِ، فَقَالَ: لَا، إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «خَيْرُ الْمَجَالِسِ أَوْسَعُهَا» ، ثُمَّ تَنَحَّى فَجَلَسَ فِي مَجْلِسٍ وَاسِعٍ
Abdullah bin Muhammad told us, he said: Abu Amir Al-Aqdi told us, he said: Abdul Rahman bin Abi Al-Mawali told us, he said: Abdul told me Al-Rahman bin Abi Amra Al-Ansari said: Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri gave permission for a funeral. He said: It was as if he had remained behind until the people took Their gatherings, then he came with him, and when the people saw him, they hurried away from him, and some of them stood up from him to sit in his gathering, and he said: No, I heard The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The best gatherings are the broadest ones.” Then he stepped down and sat in a spacious gathering.

قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: «لا يقيمن أحدكم أحدا من مجلسه فيجلس فيه بنفسه». بل ينبغي عليك أن تتمدد وتجلس في مكان واسع. - (مسلم، البخاري، الدارمي، أبو أواناسائي، ابن حبان)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "None of you should remove another person from his seat and sit there himself." Rather, you should spread out and sit in a wide space. -(Muslim, Bukhari, Darimi, Abu Awanasa'i, Ibn Hibban)

فلما قدمنا مجلس النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، من منا جلس حيث كان مكانا. (أبو داود، الترمذي، النسائي)
When we came to the Majlis of the Prophet (pbuh), whoever of us would sit there wherever there was space (vacant). (Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Nasa'i)

قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: لا يحل لرجل أن يجلس بين اثنين إلا بإذنهما. (أبو داود، الترمذي، أحمد)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُتْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي زُرَارَةُ بْنُ كَرِيمِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو السَّهْمِيُّ، أَنَّ الْحَارِثَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو السَّهْمِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ بِمِنًى - أَوْ بِعَرَفَاتٍ - وَقَدْ أَطَافَ بِهِ النَّاسُ، وَيَجِيءُ الْأَعْرَابُ، فَإِذَا رَأَوْا وَجْهَهُ قَالُوا: هَذَا وَجْهٌ مُبَارَكٌ، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، اسْتَغْفِرْ لِي، فَقَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَنَا» ، فَدُرْتُ فَقُلْتُ: اسْتَغْفِرْ لِي، قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَنَا» ، فَدُرْتُ فَقُلْتُ: اسْتَغْفِرْ لِي، فَقَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَنَا» ، فَذَهَبَ يَبْزُقُ، فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ فَأَخَذَ بِهَا بُزَاقَهُ، وَمَسَحَ بِهِ نَعْلَهُ، كَرِهَ أَنْ يُصِيبَ أَحَدًا مِنْ حَوْلِهِ
At Arafat - people have circled around it, and the Bedouins come, and when they see his face they say: This is a blessed face. I said: O Messenger of God, Ask forgiveness for me. He said: “O God, forgive us.” I turned around and said: Ask forgiveness for me. He said: “O God, forgive us.” I turned around and said: Ask forgiveness for me. He said: “O God, forgive us,” so he went to spit, and he said with his hand, and he took his spit with it, and wiped his shoe with it. He hated to infect anyone around him.

يفعل). سألوا يا رسول الله! ما هي مطالب اللقاء؟ قال: إرشاد ابن السبيل إلى مقصده، ورد السلام، وكف البصر، والأمر بالمعروف، والنهي عن المنكر. (أبو داود، ابن حبان)

نهى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أن يقوم الرجل من مجلسه ويجلس فيه آخر. (البخاري، مسلم، أبو داود، الترمذي، أحمد) وفي شرف ابن عمر (رضي الله عنه) أنه كان إذا قام أحد من مكانه لم يجلس في مكانه. (مسلم)
The Prophet (PBUH) forbade a person to leave his seat and let another person sit there. (Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Ahmad) In honor of Ibn Umar (ra), if someone stood up from his place, he would not sit in his place. (Muslim)

Adabul Mufrad # 0/1166
سمع أبا هريرة (رضي الله عنه) يصف خلق النبي (ص). كان متوسط البنية، طويل القامة تقريبًا، ذو بشرة فاتحة اللون، شعر اللحية أسود، وسيم الوجه، طويل الحاجبين، عريض الذراعين، عريض الأرداف، وكانت قدماه مسطحة تمامًا، ولم يكن هناك ثقوب في راحتيه. عندما نظر إلى شخص ما، أدار جسده كله وأدار جسده كله إلى الوراء. ولم أرى أحداً مثله قبله ولا بعده.
He heard Abu Huraira (RA) describing the physical structure of the Prophet (SAW). He was of medium build, almost tall, very fair complexion, beard hair black, handsome face, long eyebrows, broad arms, broad buttocks, His feet were completely flat, there were no holes in his palms. When he looked at someone, he turned his whole body and turned his whole body backward. I have never seen anyone like him before or after him.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي عُمَرُ: إِذَا أَرْسَلْتُكَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ، فَلَا تُخْبِرْهُ بِمَا أَرْسَلْتُكَ إِلَيْهِ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يُعِدُّ لَهُ كِذْبَةً عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ
Abdullah bin Zayd bin Aslam told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, who said: Omar said to me: If I send you to a man, do not tell him what I sent you to him, for Satan will prepare a lie for him then.

حَدَّثَنَا حَامِدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ: كَانَ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يُحِدَّ الرَّجُلُ النَّظَرَ إِلَى أَخِيهِ، أَوْ يُتْبِعَهُ بَصَرَهُ إِذَا قَامَ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ، أَوْ يَسْأَلَهُ: مِنْ أَيْنَ جِئْتَ، وَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُ؟
Hamid bin Omar told us, on the authority of Hammad bin Zaid, on the authority of Laith, on the authority of Mujahid, who said: He hated for a man to look at his brother or follow him. He looked at him when he got up from him, or asked him: Where did you come from, and where are you going?

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ زُبَيْدٍ قَالَ: مَرَرْنَا عَلَى أَبِي ذَرٍّ بِالرَّبَذَةِ، فَقَالَ: مِنْ أَيْنَ أَقْبَلْتُمْ؟ قُلْنَا: مِنْ مَكَّةَ، أَوْ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيقِ، قَالَ: هَذَا عَمَلُكُمْ؟ قُلْنَا: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: أَمَا مَعَهُ تِجَارَةٌ وَلَا بَيْعٌ؟ قُلْنَا: لَا، قَالَ: اسْتَأْنِفُوا الْعَمَلَ
Abu Nu`aym narrated to us, saying: Zuhayr narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Malik bin Zubaid, who said: We passed by Abu Dharr at Al-Rabdha, and he said: From where? Did you accept? We said: From Mecca, or from the ancient House. He said: This is your work? We said: Yes. He said: Is there no trade or sale with him? We said: No, he said: resume work

Adabul Mufrad # 0/1170
قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: من صور صورة أضطر إلى أن ينفخ فيها الحياة ويعذب، ولن يستطيع أن ينفخ فيها أبدا. بين حبتين من القمح رجل يحلم حلماً كاذباً، سيضطر إلى الطاعة ويعاقب، مع أنه قد لا يطيع أبداً. ومن استمع بأذنه إلى طائفة وهم يكرهون ما يسمع، صب بين أذنيه الرصاص السائل الساخن. (البخاري، مسلم، النسائي، الدارمي، أحمد، ابن حبان).
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever makes an image (of a wandering animal) will be forced to breathe life into it and will be punished, although he will never be able to breathe life into it. Between two grains of wheat is a man who tells a false dream He will be forced to obey and punished, though he may never obey. A person who listens to a sect with his ear, while they dislike what he hears, will have hot liquid lead poured between his ears. (Bukhari, Muslim, Nasa'i, Darimi, Ahmad, Ibn Hibban).

ذهب والدي إلى معاوية ممثلا. كنت صغيرا حينها. فلما دخل عليه قال مرحبا مرحبا. كان هناك شخص يجلس على الأريكة بالقرب منه. فقال يا أمير المؤمنين! مرحبا بكم في هذا الشخص الذي تسمونه مرحبا قال؟ قال: هو سيد أهل المشرق. هذا هشام بن الأسود (رضي الله عنه). فقلت من هذا؟ فقال الناس: هذا عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص (رضي الله عنه). فقلت له: يا أبا فلان! الدجال سيظهر من أين؟ قال: أنت من تلك الناحية، فلم أجد أهل بلد قط أكثر فضولاً للبعيد، وأغفلاً للقريب من أهل تلك البلدة. ثم قال: يخرج من العراق كثير الزرع والنخل. (الطبراني)
My father went to Mu'awiyah as a representative. I was young then. When he entered him, he said, Marhaba Marhaba. A person was sitting on the sofa near him. He said, O Ameerul Mu'minin! Welcome to this person whom you call Marhaba Told? He said, he is the leader of the people of the East. This is Haysham Ibnul Aswad (RA). I said, who is this? The people said, This is Abdullah Ibn Amr Ibnul As (RA). I said to him, O father of such and such! Dajjal will appear from where? He said, you are from that area I have never found people of any locality more inquisitive about distant matters, and more neglectful of nearer matters, than the inhabitants of that locality. Then he said, He will emerge from Iraq, rich in plants and palm trees. (Tabarani)

كنت أصعد وأنزل مع ابن عباس (رضي الله عنه). كان يجعلني أجلس على فراشه. فقال لي لا تبق بالقرب مني سأعطيك جزءا من مالي. لذلك مكثت معه لمدة شهرين. (البخاري، مسلم)
I used to go up and down with Ibn Abbas (RA). He used to make me sit on his mattress. He said to me, you should not stay near me, I will give you a part of my property. So I stayed with him for two months. (Bukhari, Muslim)

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ أَبُو خَلْدَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، وَهُوَ مَعَ الْحَكَمِ أَمِيرٌ بِالْبَصْرَةِ عَلَى السَّرِيرِ، يَقُولُ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ الْحَرُّ أَبْرَدَ بِالصَّلَاةِ، وَإِذَا كَانَ الْبَرْدُ بَكَّرَ بِالصَّلَاةِ\n---\n[قال الشيخ الألباني] : \nحسن الإسناد والمرفوع منه صحيح
Ubaid narrated to us, saying: Yunus bin Bukayr narrated to us, saying: Khaled bin Dinar Abu Khalda narrated to us, saying: I heard Anas bin Malik, and he was with Al-Hakam. دخلت عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم. وكان يرقد على محفة مصنوعة من حبال من سعف النخيل. وكان تحت رأسه وسادة من جلد مملوءة لحاء النخل. لم يكن هناك قطعة قماش بين شاربايا وجسده. فدخل عليه عمر (رضي الله عنه) فبكى. فقال له النبي (ص): يا عمر! ما الذي جعلك تبكي؟ قال: قسم الله! أنا أبكي لأنني أعلم أن مكانتك في نظر الله أعلى بكثير من مكانة قيصر وقيصر. إنهم من هذا العالم الأرضي، منغمسين في متع لا نهاية لها. ويا رسول الله! أرى حالتك بأم عيني! فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: يا عمر! ألا ترضون أن لهم نعيم الدنيا ولنا نعيم الآخرة؟ قلت: بلى يا رسول الله! قال: الأمر هكذا. (مسند أحمد، ابن حبان)
I entered the presence of the Prophet (PBUH). He was lying on a palanquin made of ropes of palm leaves. Under his head was a leather pillow filled with palm bark. وَعَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ أَنَسًا جَالِسًا عَلَى سَرِيرٍ وَاضِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى
On the authority of his father, on the authority of Imran bin Muslim, he said: I saw a man sitting on a bed, placing one of his legs on top of the other.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلَاثَةً، فَلَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ»
Ismail told us, he said: Malik told me, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Abdullah, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If they are three, then no “Two people talk to each other without the third.”

حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي شَقِيقٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ، فَإِنَّهُ يُحْزِنُهُ ذَلِكَ» .
Omar bin Hafs told us, he said: My father told me, he said: Al-Amash told us, he said: A brother told me, on the authority of Abdullah, he said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said He said: “If there are three of you, then two should not talk to each other without the third, for that will make him sad.”

ولا ضرر إذا اجتمع الأربعة (في محادثات سرية فردية).

فجلست عند عبد الله بن سلام. يقول أنك تجلس بجواري ولكن حان الوقت لأستيقظ. قلت: إنها رغبتك. فقام ومضى معه حتى وصل إلى الباب.
I sat near Abdullah Ibn Salam. He says you are sitting next to me but it is time for me to get up. I said, it is your wish. So he stood up and went with him till he reached the door.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي قَيْسٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ جَاءَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ، فَقَامَ فِي الشَّمْسِ، فَأَمَرَهُ فَتَحَوَّلَ إِلَى الظِّلِّ
Musaddad told us, he said: Yahya told us, he said: Ismail bin Abi Khaled told us, he said: Qais told me, on the authority of his father, that he came and the Messenger of God May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he was giving a sermon, so he stood in the sun, so he ordered him to turn to the shade.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ عَلَى أَبِيهِ، فَأَلْقَى لَهُ قَطِيفَةً فَجَلَسَ عَلَيْهَا
Muslim bin Ibrahim narrated to us, saying: Shu’bah narrated to us, on the authority of Yazid bin Khumayr, on the authority of Abdullah bin Busr, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him He passed by his father, and he threw him a piece of velvet and he sat on it.

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ حَسَّانَ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي جَدَّتَايَ صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ عُلَيْبَةَ، وَدُحَيْبَةُ بِنْتُ عُلَيْبَةَ - وَكَانَتَا رَبِيبَتَيْ قَيْلَةَ - أَنَّهُمَا أَخْبَرَتْهُمَا قَيْلَةُ قَالَتْ: رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَاعِدًا الْقُرْفُصَاءَ، فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ الْمُتَخَشِّعَ فِي الْجِلْسَةِ أُرْعِدْتُ مِنَ الْفَرَقِ
Musa narrated to us, saying: Abdullah bin Hassan Al-Anbari narrated to us, saying: My grandmothers Safiyya bint Ulaibah and Dhahiba bint Ulaibah narrated to me - They were the stepdaughters of Qayla. Qayla told them: I saw the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, sitting cross-legged. When I saw the humble Prophet in the assembly, I was terrified by the difference.

ورأى علي بن عبد الله بن عباس (رضي الله عنه) جالساً على أربع، واضعاً إحدى رجليه على الأخرى، أي: اليمنى على اليسرى.
He saw Ali son of Abdullah Ibn Abbas (RA) sitting on all fours with one leg over the other i.e. the right leg over the left leg.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَجْلِسُ هَكَذَا مُتَرَبِّعًا، وَيَضَعُ إِحْدَى قَدَمَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى
Muhammad bin Yusuf narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Imran bin Muslim, who said: I saw Anas bin Malik sitting like this, cross-legged, and placing One foot over the other

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي قُرَّةُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْهُجَيْمِيُّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ الْهُجَيْمِيِّ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُحْتَبٍ فِي بُرْدَةٍ، وَإِنَّ هُدَّابَهَا لَعَلَى قَدَمَيْهِ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَوْصِنِي، قَالَ: «عَلَيْكَ بِاتِّقَاءِ اللَّهِ، وَلَا تَحْقِرَنَّ مِنَ الْمَعْرُوفِ شَيْئًا، وَلَوْ أَنْ تُفْرِغَ لِلْمُسْتَسْقِي مِنْ دَلْوِكَ فِي إِنَائِهِ، أَوْ تُكَلِّمَ أَخَاكَ وَوَجْهُكَ مُنْبَسِطٌ، وَإِيَّاكَ وَإِسْبَالَ الْإِزَارِ، فَإِنَّهَا مِنَ الْمَخِيلَةِ، وَلَا يُحِبُّهَا اللَّهُ، وَإِنِ امْرُؤٌ عَيَّرَكَ بِشَيْءٍ يَعْلَمُهُ مِنْكَ فَلَا تُعَيِّرْهُ بِشَيْءٍ تَعْلَمُهُ مِنْهُ، دَعْهُ يَكُونُ وَبَالُهُ عَلَيْهِ، وَأَجْرُهُ لَكَ، وَلَا تَسُبَّنَّ شَيْئًا» ، قَالَ: فَمَا سَبَبْتُ بَعْدُ دَابَّةً وَلَا إِنْسَانًا

Your bucket is in its vessel, or you speak to your brother with your face down, and beware of letting the garment loose, for it is a form of imagination, and he does not like it.
