Adabul Mufrad # 0/1067
لا حرج أن الله يعلم ما تبدون وما تكتمون» (سورة النور: 29). قال ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما: الأمر بهذه الآية الأخيرة استثناء من الأمر الذي قبله. (الطبري)
There is no harm, for God knows what you reveal and what you conceal” (Surat An-Nur: 29). Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them, said: The command in this last verse is an exception to the command before it. (Al-Tabari)

Adabul Mufrad # 0/1068
(قوله تعالى: «فليستأذنك الذين ملكوا يمينك») سورة النور: 58. فقال: هذا الأمر للرجال وليس للنساء.
(Words of Allah) "Let those who own your right hand ask your permission" (Surah Noor: 58). He said, this instruction is for men, not for women.

وكان إذا كان له أولاد فرق بينهم (بيشة النسائي). ولم يستطع أن يدخلها دون إذن.

دخلت غرفة أمي مع والدي. لقد تبعته عندما دخل. فرجع فضرب صدري بقوة وأجلسني على فخذي، ثم قال: دخلت بغير استئذان؟

وإذا دخل أحد دون أن يسلم، تقول، حتى يأتي بالمفتاح، أي حتى يسلم. (المؤنث يمكن أن يكون مفتوحا)
If someone enters without greeting, you say, until he brings the key, that is, until he greets. (the feminine can be open)

قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: إذا اطلع رجل في بيتك فرميته بحصاة فلا جناح عليك أن تصيب عينه. -(البخاري، مسلم، أبو داود، النسائي، أحمد)

وكان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يصلي قائما. ثم ينظر الرجل إلى غرفته. فأخذ السهم من جعبته وصوبه نحو عينيه. -(البخاري، مسلم، الترمذي، النسائي، أبو داود)

أطلع رجل من باب بيت النبي . وكان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يمشط رأسه بمشط من حديد. فرآه النبي فقال: لو كنت أعلم أنك تنظر إلي لضربت عينيك بهذا المشط. فعلت (البخاري، مسلم، الترمذي، النسائي)
A man peeped in through the door of the Prophet's house. The Prophet (PBUH) was combing his head with an iron comb. The Prophet saw him and said: If I had known that you were (peeking) at me, I would have struck your eyes with this comb. I did (Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi, Nasa'i)

وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الْإِذْنُ مِنْ أَجْلِ الْبَصَرِ»
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Ear was created for the sake of sight.”

Adabul Mufrad # 0/1089
وإذا اقترب أحد يريد الاستئذان فلا ينبغي له أن يقف مقابل الباب، بل يقف قليلاً عن اليمين أو عن اليسار. فالأفضل أن يؤذن له وإلا فإنه يرجع. (أبو داود، أحمد)
When one approaches with the intention of asking for permission to enter, he should not stand facing the door, but stand a little to the right or to the left. It is better if he is allowed, otherwise he will go back. (Abu Dawud, Ahmad)

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شُرَيْحٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ وَاهِبَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَعَافِرِيَّ يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ حُدَيْجٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَدِمْتُ عَلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَاسْتَأْذَنْتُ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالُوا لِي: مَكَانَكَ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ إِلَيْكَ، فَقَعَدْتُ قَرِيبًا مِنْ بَابِهِ، قَالَ: فَخَرَجَ إِلَيَّ فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، أَمِنَ الْبَوْلِ هَذَا؟ قَالَ: مِنَ الْبَوْلِ، أَوْ مِنْ غَيْرِهِ
Abdullah bin Saleh told us, he said: Ibn Shurayh Abdul Rahman told me, that he heard Wahib bin Abdullah Al-Maafiri say: Abdul told me Al-Rahman bin Muawiyah bin Hudayj, on the authority of his father, said: I came to Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, and I asked permission to come to him. فاستأذن عمر (رضي الله عنه) من النبي (ص) وقال: السلام على رسول الله، السلام عليكم، هل يستطيع عمر أن يدخل الداخل؟
Umar (R.A.) asked for permission from the Prophet (S.A.W) and said, Assalamu Ala Rasoolillah, Assalamu Alaikum, can Umar enter inside?

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي دَيْنٍ كَانَ عَلَى أَبِي، فَدَقَقْتُ الْبَابَ، فَقَالَ: «مَنْ ذَا؟» فَقُلْتُ: أَنَا، قَالَ: «أَنَا، أَنَا؟» ، كَأَنَّهُ كَرِهَهُ
Abu Al-Walid narrated to us, saying: Shu’bah narrated to us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Al-Munkadir, who said: I heard Jabir saying: I came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, about a religion. It was my father's, so I knocked on the door, and he said: “Who is that?” So I said: I. He said: “I, I?” As if he hated it

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ، وَأَبُو مُوسَى يَقْرَأُ، فَقَالَ: «مَنْ هَذَا؟» فَقُلْتُ: أَنَا بُرَيْدَةُ، جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ، فَقَالَ: «قَدْ أُعْطِيَ هَذَا مِزْمَارًا مِنْ مَزَامِيرِ آلِ دَاوُدَ»
Ali bin Al-Hassan narrated to us, saying: Al-Hussein narrated to us, saying: Abdullah bin Buraidah narrated to us, on the authority of his father, who said: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, went out to The mosque, and Abu Musa was reading, so he said: “Who is this?” I said: I am Buraida, may I be your ransom. حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الْفَرَّاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، فَاسْتَأْذَنَ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ، فَقِيلَ: ادْخُلْ بِسَلَامٍ، فَأَبَى أَنْ يَدْخُلَ عَلَيْهِمْ
The king of Ishmael said to us, "We spoke to Israel about my father, Ja 'far, and the disbelievers about the servant of the Most Gracious, Ben Jad 'an." He said, "I was with the servant of Allah, the son of 'Umar, and he asked permission to the family of Beit." He said, "Enter in peace." He refused to enter in with them.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ نَذِيرٍ قَالَ: اسْتَأْذَنَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى حُذَيْفَةَ فَاطَّلَعَ وَقَالَ: أَدْخُلُ؟ قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ: أَمَّا عَيْنُكَ فَقَدْ دَخَلَتْ، وَأَمَّا اسْتُكَ فَلَمْ تَدْخُلْ\n---\n[قال الشيخ الألباني] : \nصحيح\n\nوَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: أَسْتَأْذِنُ عَلَى أُمِّي؟ قَالَ: إِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَأْذِنْ رَأَيْتَ مَا يَسُوؤُكَ\n---\n[قال الشيخ الألباني] : \nحسن
Muhammad ibn Kathir narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Muslim ibn Nazir, who said: A man asked permission to go to Hudhayfah and went out. جاء أعرابي إلى بيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فاطلع من الباب. فالتقط سهماً أو عصا مدببة ووجهه نحو البدوي ليفقأ عينيه. فغادر. قال: لو بقيت أنا عينك لأفجرها (النسائي، التحاكيم)
A Bedouin came to the house of the Prophet (PBUH) and peeped through the door. He picked up an arrow or pointed stick and aimed it at the Bedouin to put out his eyes. So he left. He said: If you remain still, I am your eyes I would blow (Nasa'i, Tahakim)

وقال عمر بن الخطاب (رضي الله عنه): من دخل الغرفة بعينيه قبل أن يؤذن له فقد أثم.
Umar Ibnul Khattab (R.A.) said, If a person enters a room with his eyes before permission, he is guilty of sin.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا حَيٍّ الْمُؤَذِّنَ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى جَوْفِ بَيْتٍ حَتَّى يَسْتَأْذِنَ، فَإِنْ فَعَلَ فَقَدْ دَخَلَ. وَلَا يَؤُمُّ قَوْمًا فَيَخُصُّ نَفْسَهُ بِدَعْوَةٍ دُونَهُمْ حَتَّى يَنْصَرِفَ. وَلَا يُصَلِّي وَهُوَ حَاقِنٌ حَتَّى يَتَخَفَّفَ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: أَصَحُّ مَا يُرْوَى فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ.\n---\n[قال الشيخ الألباني] : \nصحيح دون جملة الإمامة
Ishaq bin Al-Ala’ narrated to us, he said: Amr bin Al-Harith narrated to me, he said: Abdullah bin Salem narrated to me, on the authority of Muhammad bin Al-Walid, he said: narrated to us Yazid bin Shurayh said that Abu Hayy al-Mu’adhdhin told him that Thuban, the servant of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, told him that The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “It is not permissible for a Muslim to look into the interior of a house until he seeks permission. كان الله كفيلاً لمن خرج إلى المسجد. وكان الله على من يمضي في سبيل الله كفيلاً. -(أبو داود، الحاكم، ابن حبان)

حَدَّثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: \" إِذَا دَخَلَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْتَهُ، فَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عِنْدَ دُخُولِهِ، وَعِنْدَ طَعَامِهِ، قَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ: لَا مَبِيتَ لَكُمْ وَلَا عَشَاءَ، وَإِذَا دَخَلَ فَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ اللَّهَ عِنْدَ دُخُولِهِ قَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ: أَدْرَكْتُمُ الْمَبِيتَ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اللَّهَ عِنْدَ طَعَامِهِ قَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ: أَدْرَكْتُمُ الْمَبِيتَ وَالْعَشَاءَ \"
Khalifa told us, he said: Abu Asim told us, he said: Ibn Jurayj told us, on the authority of Abu al-Zubayr, on the authority of Jabir, that he heard the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He says: “If a man enters his house and mentions God Almighty when he enters and eats food, Satan says: There is no place for you to stay.” And no dinner, and when he enters and does not mention God when he enters, Satan says: Have you spent the night? And if he does not mention God when he eats, he says Satan: Have you realized the night and dinner?

وصلنا إلى أنس بن مالك. كان يجلس وحيدا في شرفة منزله. سلم عليه شريكي وقال هل يمكنني الدخول؟ فقال أنس (رضي الله عنه): ادخل. إنه مكان لا يحتاج فيه أحد إلى طلب الإذن بالدخول. عندما تم تقديم الطعام، تناولناه. أحضر الموزع قدرًا كبيرًا من حلوى النبي (شراب التمر). شربه وجعلنا نشرب أيضًا.
We came to Anas Ibn Malek. He was sitting alone on his porch. My partner greeted him and said, can I enter? Anas (RA) said, Enter. It is a place where no one needs to ask permission to enter. our When food was served, we ate it. The distributor brought a huge pot of sweet nabi (date syrup). He drank it and made us drink too.

Abu Nu`aym told us, he said: Sufyan told us, on the authority of Ibn Aoun, on the authority of Mujahid, who said: Ibn Umar did not ask permission to go to market houses.

فكتب أبو موسى (رضي الله عنه) إلى الرحبان وسلم عليه. فقيل له إنه كافر فهل تسلم عليه؟ قال إنه كتب لي وسلم علي. لقد أجبت عليه.
Abu Musa (RA) wrote a letter to Rahban and greeted him. He was told, he is a kafir, do you greet him? He said he wrote to me and greeted me. I have answered it.

Adabul Mufrad # 0/1113
فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: إني أتوجه غداً إلى منطقة اليهود. لذلك لا تستقبلهم أولاً. عندما يسلمون عليك، سوف تحييهم.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: I am going to the area of the Jews tomorrow morning. So do not greet them first. When they greet you, you will greet them.

قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: لا تبدأوا بالسلام على أهل الكتاب. اجعلهم يسيرون على الجانب الضيق من الطريق. - (مسلم، الترمذي، أبو داود، أبو أواناسائي، الذهبي، ابن حبان)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Do not greet the People of the Book first. Make them walk on the narrow side of the road. -(Muslim, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Abu Awanasa'i, Tahabi, Ibn Hibban)

مر يهودي على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: السلام عليك. فلما رد أصحابه السلام قال: قال: مت. وعندما تم القبض على اليهودي اعترف. قال: أنت كما قال، فأجب بذلك. - (مسلم، أبو داود، النسائي، أبو آوى النسائي)
A Jew passing by the Prophet (PBUH) said, Assamu Alaikum (may you die). When his companions answered the greeting, he said: He said, may you die. When the Jew was arrested, he confessed. He said: You are as he said Answer accordingly. -(Muslim, Abu Dawud, Nasa'i, Abu Awa Nasa'i)

Adabul Mufrad # 0/1117
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إذا سلم عليك أحد من ملة اليهود، فليقل: توفيت. لذلك أنت تقول أيضًا دع نفسك تموت. (البخاري، مسلم، الدارمي، النسائي)
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: If someone from the Jewish community ever greets you, he must say, May you die. So you also say, let yourself die. (Bukhari, Muslim, Darimi, Nasa'i)

ذهب النبي (صلى الله عليه وسلم) إلى المريض سعد بن عبادة (رضي الله عنه) راكبًا على حمار، وقد فدك ثوب منشور على رحلته، وأسامة بن زيد (رضي الله عنه) جالس خلفه. واقترب من جمع من الناس، وكان عبد الله بن أبي بن سلول حاضرا أيضا، وكان ذلك قبل إسلام عدو الله هذا. وكان المسلمون والمشركون والمشركون حاضرين في الاجتماع. لقد استقبلهم. (البخاري، مسلم، الترمذي)
The Prophet (PBUH) went to see the sick Saad Ibn Ubada (RA) riding on a donkey with a cloth made of Fadak spread over the saddle and Usama Ibn Zayd (RA) sitting behind him. He approached a gathering of people, where Abdullah ibn Ubayy ibn Salul was also was present This happened before the acceptance of Islam by this enemy of Allah. Muslims, polytheists and idolaters were all present in the meeting. He greeted them. (Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi)

قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: إذا لقيتم المشركين في الطريق فلا تبدأوا بالسلام عليهم، وتجبروهم على السير في ضيق الطريق. - (مسلم، الترمذي، أبو داود، الذهبي، أبو أواناسي، ابن حبان)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If you meet the polytheists on the way, do not greet them first and force them to walk on the narrow path of the road. -(Muslim, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Tahabi, Abu Awanasa'i, Ibn Hibban)

ولو قال لي فرعون بارك الله فيك لقلت أنت أيضا وإن هلك فرعون.
If Pharaoh had said to me, “God bless you,” I would have said so too, even if Pharaoh perished.

مر ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما بنصراني فسلم عليه. كما أنها ترد تحيته. وبعد ذلك أُخبر أنه مسيحي. فلما علم رجع وقال ردوا علي السلام.
Ibn Umar (RA) passed by a Christian and greeted him. She also returns his greeting. Later he was informed that he was a Christian. When he found out, he went back and said, return my greetings.
