حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الْفَرَّاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، فَاسْتَأْذَنَ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ، فَقِيلَ: ادْخُلْ بِسَلَامٍ، فَأَبَى أَنْ يَدْخُلَ عَلَيْهِمْ
The king of Ishmael said to us, "We spoke to Israel about my father, Ja 'far, and the disbelievers about the servant of the Most Gracious, Ben Jad 'an." He said, "I was with the servant of Allah, the son of 'Umar, and he asked permission to the family of Beit." He said, "Enter in peace." He refused to enter in with them.
