Hadith #37885
قال: قلتُ لعلي (رضي الله عنه): "هل معك شيء مكتوب؟" قال: "لا، إنما كتاب الله، والعلم الذي يُعطى للمسلم، وهو العقل والضمير. ثم إن في هذه الصفحة شيئًا مكتوبًا." قال [أبو جهيفة (رضي الله عنه)]: قلتُ: وما في هذه الصفحة؟ قال: "حكم الجزاء وإطلاق الأسرى، وحكم عدم قتل مسلم بقتل كافر." [1266]
He said: I said to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), "Do you have anything written down?" He said: "No, there is only the Book of Allah, and the knowledge that a Muslim is given, which is the intellect and conscience. Besides, there is something written down in this page." He [Abu Juhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him)] said: I said: What is in this page? He said: The law of compensation and the release of prisoners, and also the law that 'a Muslim should not be killed for the killing of a disbeliever.'" [1266]
