تشاجرت امرأتان من قبيلة الهذليلي، فألقت إحداهما حجراً على الأخرى، فأصابها الحجر في بطنها، وكانت حاملاً، فقتلت جنينها. ثم اشتكتا إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فحكم بدفع جارية أو أمة فديةً عن الطفلة، وأمر بدفع دية (مئة جمل) لأولياء أمر المرأة المقتولة عن الطفلة، وشمل في الدية أبناء المرأة المقتولة ومن ورثها. قال حمال بن نبيجة الهذليلي: يا رسول الله، ما أغرم على طفلة لم تشرب ولم تأكل ولم تتكلم ولم تبكِ؟ فقال له النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم على كلامه المتناغم: هذا أخ العرافين. Two women from the tribe of Hudhayl fought. One of them threw a stone at the other. The stone hit her in the stomach. She was pregnant, so she killed her unborn child. Then they complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). He ruled that a full-fledged slave or maidservant should be given in exchange for the child. He ordered that the blood money (one hundred camels) be paid to the guardians of the murdered woman for the girl, and he included the children of the murdered woman and those who share her share in the blood money. Hamal bin Nabigah al-Hudhali said: O Messenger of Allaah! Why should I be fined for a child who has not drunk, eaten, spoken or cried? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to him for his rhyming words: This is the brother of fortune-tellers. [1271]
