Hadith #37894
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ قَالَ: لَقَدْ أَدْرَكَتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرَ، وَعُثْمَانَ، وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ، فَلَمْ أَرَهُمْ يَضْرِبُونَ الْمَمْلُوكَ فِي الْقَذْفِ إِلَّا أَرْبَعِينَ. رَوَاهُ مَالِكٌ، وَالثَّوْرِيُّ فِي «جَامِعِهِ»
He said, "I also found the era of the caliphs Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them) and the caliphs after them - none of them would beat a slave with more than the hadd of forty lashes for slander."
