Hadith #44887
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَفْضَلُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ.
Waki` narrated to us, Sufyan and Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Alqamah bin Marthad, on the authority of Abu Abd al-Rahman, on the authority of Uthman, may God be pleased with him. On his authority, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: The best of you is the one who learns the Qur’an and teaches it.
