Abu Saeed narrated to us, Abd al-Wahid bin Ziyad al-Thaqafi narrated to us, Amara bin al-Qaqa’ narrated to us, on the authority of al-Harith bin Yazid al-Ukli, on the authority of Abu Zur’ah, on the authority of Abdullah bin Naji, he said: Ali said: I had an hour of dawn during which I would enter upon the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. Peace and blessings of God be upon him. If he was standing and praying, he glorified me, and that was his permission for me. And if he was not praying, then he gave me permission.
