Hadith #45072
Sufyan informed us, on the authority of Ibn Abi Najih, on the authority of his father, on the authority of a man who heard Ali, may God be pleased with him, say, “I wanted to propose to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, asked his daughter, so I said, “I have nothing, so how?” Then I mentioned his relationship with his wife, so I proposed to him, and he said, “Do you have someone?” Something. I said, “No.” He said, “Where is your Hutamiyah shield that I gave you on such and such a day?” He said, “I have it.” He said, “Give it to her.”
