حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ شُتَيْرِ بْنِ شَكَلٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ حَبَسُونَا عَنْ صَلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى غَرَبَتْ الشَّمْسُ مَلَأَ اللَّهُ قُبُورَهُمْ وَبُيُوتَهُمْ أَوْ قُبُورَهُمْ وَبُطُونَهُمْ نَارًا قَالَ شُعْبَةُ مَلَأَ اللَّهُ قُبُورَهُمْ وَبُيُوتَهُمْ أَوْ قُبُورَهُمْ وَبُطُونَهُمْ نَارًا لَا أَدْرِي أَفِي الْحَدِيثِ هُوَ أَمْ لَيْسَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ أَشُكُّ فِيهِ.
Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, Shu`bah narrated to us, on the authority of Suleiman, on the authority of Abu Ad-Duha, on the authority of Shutair ibn Shikal, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet May God’s prayers and peace be upon him. He said, “On the Day of Al-Ahzab, they detained us from the middle prayer, the afternoon prayer, until the sun set.” God filled their graves and their houses or their graves and their bellies with fire. Shu’bah said, God filled their graves and their houses or their graves. And their bellies are fire. I do not know whether it is in the hadith or not in the hadith. I doubt it.
