عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَلَمَّا كَبَّرَ انْصَرَفَ وَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنْ كَمَا كُنْتُمْ. ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَاغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ وَرَأَسُهُ يَقْطُرُ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ. فَلَمَّا صَلَّى قَالَ: «إِنِّي كُنْتُ جُنُبًا فنسيت أَن أَغْتَسِل» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وروى مَالك عَن عَطاء بن يسَار نَحوه مُرْسلا
On the authority of Abu Hurairah that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, went out to pray, and when he said the greatest, he left and motioned to them, “As you were.” Then he went out and took a bath, then came with water dripping on his head and prayed with them. When he prayed, he said: “I was in a state of ritual impurity and forgot to wash.” Narrated by Ahmad and narrated by Malik On the authority of Ata’ bin Yasar, something similar is mursal
