Hadith #48271
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا وُضِعَ عَشَاءُ أَحَدِكُمْ وَأُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاة فابدؤوا بِالْعَشَاءِ وَلَا يَعْجَلْ حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ مِنْهُ» وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يُوضَعُ لَهُ الطَّعَامُ وَتُقَامُ الصَّلَاةُ فَلَا يَأْتِيهَا حَتَّى يَفْرُغُ مِنْهُ وَإِنَّهُ لِيَسْمَعَ قِرَاءَةَ الْإِمَامِ
On his authority, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “If dinner is prepared for one of you and the prayer is performed, start with the dinner and do not rush until he finishes.” “From it.” Ibn Umar used to have food prepared for him and prayer being performed, but he would not come to it until he had finished, and he would hear the recitation of The Imam
