Hadith #48832
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْبَسُوا مِنْ ثِيَابِكُمُ الْبَيَاضَ فَإِنَّهَا مَنْ خَيْرِ ثِيَابِكُمْ وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ وَمِنْ خَيْرِ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الْإِثْمِدُ فَإِنَّهُ يُنْبِتُ الشّعْر ويجلوا الْبَصَر» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد وَالتِّرْمِذِيّ
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Put on your white clothes, for they are among the best of your clothes, and be shrouded in them.” Your dead, and among the best of your ankles is ithmed, for it makes hair grow and sharpens sight.” Narrated by Abu Dawood and Al-Tirmidhi
