Hadith #48858
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يجمع بَين الرجلَيْن فِي قَتْلَى أُحُدٍ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ: «أَيُّهُمْ أَكْثَرُ أَخْذًا لِلْقُرْآنِ؟» فَإِذَا أُشِيرَ لَهُ إِلَى أَحَدِهِمَا قَدَّمَهُ فِي اللَّحْدِ وَقَالَ: «أَنَا شَهِيدٌ عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» . وَأَمَرَ بِدَفْنِهِمْ بِدِمَائِهِمْ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَمْ يُغَسَّلُوا. رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ
On the authority of Jabir, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to combine the two men in the killing of someone in one garment, then he would say: “Which of them took more? For the Qur’an? If one of them was pointed out to him, he would put it in the grave and say: “I will bear witness over these on the Day of Resurrection.” And he commanded He buried them in their blood, and he did not pray over them or wash them. Narrated by Al-Bukhari
