وَعَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً لَمْ يَقْعُدْ حَتَّى تُوضَعَ فِي اللَّحْدِ فَعَرَضَ لَهُ حَبْرٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ فَقَالَ لَهُ: إِنَّا هَكَذَا نضع يَا مُحَمَّدُ قَالَ: فَجَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ: «خَالِفُوهُمْ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ وَبِشْرُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ الرَّاوِي لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيّ
On the authority of Ubadah ibn al-Samit, he said: Whenever the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, followed a funeral, he would not sit until it was placed in the grave and ink was shown to him. Of the Jews, and he said to him: This is how we stand, O Muhammad. He said: Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sat down and said: “Disagree with them.” It was narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, and Ibn Majah, and Al-Tirmidhi said: This is a strange hadith, and Bishr ibn Rafi’, the narrator, is not strong.
