Hadith #48883
وَعَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَقُومَ الْإِمَامُ فَوْقَ شَيْءٍ وَالنَّاسُ خَلْفَهُ يَعْنِي أَسْفَلَ مِنْهُ. رَوَاهُ الدراقطني وَأَبُو دَاوُد
On the authority of Abu Masoud Al-Ansari, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade the imam to stand on top of something while the people are behind him, meaning below. From him. Narrated by Al-Daraqutni and Abu Dawud
