Hadith #49206
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَرَأَى زِحَامًا وَرَجُلًا قَدْ ظُلِّلَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ: «مَا هَذَا؟» قَالُوا: صَائِمٌ. فَقَالَ: «لَيْسَ مِنَ الْبِرِّ الصَّوْمُ فِي السَّفَرِ»
On the authority of Jabir, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was on a journey, and he saw a crowd and a man who was shadowing him, and he said: “What is this?” They said: He is fasting. He said: “It is not righteousness to fast while traveling.”
