وَعَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: الْمَسْأَلَةُ أَنْ تَرْفَعَ يَدَيْكَ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْكَ أَوْ نَحْوِهِمَا وَالِاسْتِغْفَارُ أَنْ تُشِيرَ بِأُصْبُعٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَالِابْتِهَالُ أَنْ تَمُدَّ يَدَيْكَ جَمِيعًا وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ قَالَ: والابتهالُ هَكَذَا وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ وَجَعَلَ ظُهُورَهُمَا مِمَّا يَلِي وَجْهَهُ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُ
On the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, he said: The issue is for you to raise your hands to the level of your shoulders or something similar and seek forgiveness. To point with one finger, and the supplication is to extend all your hands. And in a narration, he said: And the supplication is like this, and he raised his hands and made their backs out of He turns his face. Narrated by Abu Daw
