Hadith #49646
On the authority of Amr bin Shuaib, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If one of you is terrified during sleep, let him say: I seek refuge in the perfect words of God from His wrath and punishment, from the evil of His servants, and from the prodding of the devils, and from their presence, for they will not harm him. “Abdullah bin Amr used to teach it to those of his children who had reached puberty and to those of them who had not reached puberty. He wrote it on a document and then hung it around his neck.” Narrated by Abu Dawud and Al-Tirmidhi, and this is his wording.
