Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #50305

On the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: Aisha, a relative of hers from the Ansar, got married, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came and said: “Did you give the girl as a gift?” They said: Yes. He said: “Did you send someone with her to sing?” She said: No, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The Ansar are a people among whom there is flirtation.” If you had sent with it someone who would say, ‘We have come to you, we have come to you,’ and we would greet you and he would greet you.” Narrated by Ibn Majah.
