وَعَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ: أَنَّهُ تَزَوَّجَ ابْنَةً لِأَبِي إِهَابِ بْنِ عَزِيزٍ فَأَتَتِ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ: قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُ عُقْبَةَ وَالَّتِي تَزَوَّجَ بِهَا فَقَالَ لَهَا عُقْبَةُ: مَا أَعْلَمُ أَنَّكِ قَدْ أَرْضَعْتِنِي وَلَا أَخْبَرْتِنِي فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى آلِ أَبِي إِهَابٍ فَسَأَلَهُمْ فَقَالُوا: مَا عَلِمْنَا أَرْضَعْتَ صَاحِبَتُنَا فَرَكِبَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «كَيْفَ وَقَدْ قِيلَ؟» فَفَارَقَهَا عُقْبَةُ وَنَكَحَتْ زوجا غَيره. رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ
On the authority of Uqba bin Al-Harith: He married a daughter of Abu Ihab bin Aziz, and a woman came and said: I have breastfed Uqba, who... He married her, and Uqba said to her: I do not know that you breastfed me, nor did you inform me. So he sent for Abi Ihab’s family and asked them, and they said: What? Teach us Our companion breastfed, so he rode to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in Medina. He asked him, and the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “How, when it was said?” Then Uqba left her and she married another husband. Narrated by Al-Bukhari
