عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ: أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَحْتَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَحْشٍ فَمَاتَ بِأَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ فَزَوَّجَهَا النَّجَاشِيُّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَمْهَرَهَا عَنهُ أَرْبَعَة آلَاف. وَفِي رِوَايَة: أَرْبَعَة دِرْهَمٍ وَبَعَثَ بِهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَ شُرَحْبِيل بن حَسَنَة. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد وَالنَّسَائِيّ
On the authority of Umm Habiba: She was married to Abdullah bin Jahsh, and he died in the land of Abyssinia, so the Negus married her to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. And his foals were four thousand. And in a narration: Four dirhams and sent them to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, with Sharhabeel. Bin Hassana.
