Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #50355

And on the authority of Alqamah, on the authority of Ibn Masoud: He was asked about a man who married a woman and did not impose anything on her and did not have intercourse with her until he died. Ibn said: Masoud: She has the friendship of her wives. There is neither a break nor an excess, and she has the waiting period and is entitled to the inheritance. Then Ma’qil bin Sinan Al-Ashja’i stood up and said: The Messenger has decided. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in Barwa’ bint Washiq, a woman from among us, in the same manner as you have judged. Ibn Masoud was happy with it. Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Al-Nasa’i, and Al-Darimi.
