Hadith #50600
وَعَن أبي جُحيفةَ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ هَلْ عِنْدَكُمْ شَيْءٌ لَيْسَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ؟ فَقَالَ: وَالَّذِي فَلَقَ الْحَبَّةَ وَبَرَأَ النَّسَمَةَ مَا عِنْدَنَا إِلَّا مَا فِي الْقُرْآنِ إِلَّا فَهْمًا يُعْطَى رَجُلٌ فِي كِتَابِهِ وَمَا فِي الصَّحِيفَةِ قُلْتُ: وَمَا فِي الصَّحِيفَةِ؟ قَالَ: الْعَقْلُ وَفِكَاكُ الْأَسِيرِ وَأَنْ لَا يُقْتَلَ مُسْلِمٌ بِكَافِرٍ.
رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ
On the authority of Abu Juhayfah, he said: I asked Ali, may God be pleased with him, do you have anything that is not in the Qur’an? He said: By the One who split the grain and created the soul, we have nothing except what is in the Qur’an, except an understanding given to a man in his book and what is in the document. I said: and what is in it. The newspaper? He said: The mind and your jaws The prisoner, and that a Muslim should not be killed by an infidel. Narrated by Al-Bukhari
