Hadith #50758
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: خطَبَ عمرُ رَضِي الله عَنهُ عَلَى مِنْبَرَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: " إِنَّهُ قَدْ نَزَلَ تَحْرِيمُ الْخَمْرِ وَهِيَ مِنْ خَمْسَةِ أَشْيَاءَ: الْعِنَبِ وَالتَّمْرِ وَالْحِنْطَةِ والشعيرِ والعسلِ وَالْخمر مَا خامر الْعقل ". رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ
On the authority of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with them both, he said: Omar, may God be pleased with him, delivered a sermon on the pulpit of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said: “Indeed, the prohibition of alcohol has been revealed, and it is of five things: grapes, dates, wheat, barley, honey, and wine that is not of the mind.” Narrated by Al-Bukhari
