Hadith #50837
On the authority of Ibn Umar, may God be pleased with him, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Indeed, the ruler is the shadow of God on earth, to whom every oppressed person takes shelter.” His servants, if he is just, he will have a reward, and the subjects must be grateful, and if he is tyrannical, he must be persistent, and the subjects must be patient.”
