Hadith #50891
وَعَن الأشعثِ بنِ قيسٍ قَالَ: كَانَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ أرضٌ فحَجَدني فَقَدَّمْتُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «أَلَكَ بَيِّنَةٌ؟» قُلْتُ: لَا قَالَ لِلْيَهُودِيِّ: «احْلِفْ» قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِذَنْ يَحْلِفَ وَيَذْهَبَ بِمَالِي فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: (إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يشترونَ بعهدِ اللَّهِ وأَيمانِهِم ثمنا قَلِيلا)
الْآيَة. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد وَابْن مَاجَه
On the authority of Al-Ash’ath ibn Qais, he said: There was a piece of land between me and a Jewish man, so he made a discovery for me, so I presented it to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said: “Do you have proof?” I said: No. He said to the Jew: “Swear.” I said: O Messenger of God, then he should swear and take my money. Then God Almighty revealed: (Indeed Those who buy the covenant of God and their oaths for a small price.) The verse. Narrated by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah
