وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ لِعُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: انْطَلِقْ بِنَا إِلَى أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ نَزُورُهَا كَمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَزُورُهَا فَلَمَّا انْتَهَيْنَا إِلَيْهَا بَكَتْ. فَقَالَا لَهَا: مَا يُبْكِيكِ؟ أَمَا تَعْلَمِينَ أَنَّ مَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي لَا أَبْكِي أَنِّي لَا أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى خَيْرٌ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَكِنْ أَبْكِي أَنَّ الْوَحْيَ قَدِ انْقَطَعَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فَهَيَّجَتْهُمَا عَلَى الْبُكَاءِ فَجعلَا يَبْكِيَانِ مَعهَا. رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Anas, he said: Abu Bakr said to Omar, may God be pleased with them both, after the death of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace: Go with us to Umm Ayman. We visited her as the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to visit her. When we reached her, she cried. They said to her: What makes you cry? Do you not know that what is with God is better for the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace? She said: I do not cry because I do not know that what God Almighty has is better for the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, but I cry because the revelation has was cut off from the sky, and I stirred them up against Crying, so they started crying with her. Narrated by Muslim
