Hadith #51146
On the authority of Bajalah, he said: I was a scribe for Juz bin Muawiyah, the uncle of Al-Ahnaf, and the letter of Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, came to us before his death. With a Sunnah: They separated all the mahrams from among the Magians, and Umar had not taken the tax from the Magians until Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf testified that The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, took it from the Magians of Hijra. Narrated by Al-Bukhari, and the hadith of Buraidah was mentioned: If he commands a commander over an army, in the “Chapter on the Letter to the Unbelievers.”
