Hadith #51265
On the authority of Amr bin Shuaib, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was asked about the aqeeqah, and he said: “God does not like disobedience.” It is as if he disliked the name and said: “Whoever has a child born to him and would like to perform the ritual observance for him, let him perform the observance for a boy, two sheep, and a sheep for a female slave.” Narrated by Abu Dawud and Al-Nasa’i
