وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا اسْتَجَدَّ ثَوْبًا سَمَّاهُ بِاسْمِهِ عِمَامَةً أَوْ قَمِيصًا أَوْ رِدَاءً ثُمَّ يَقُولُ «اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كَمَا كسوتَنيه أَسأَلك خَيره وخيرَ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ وَشَرِّ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ
On the authority of Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, he said: Whenever the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, found a piece of clothing, he would give it its name, a turban, a shirt, or a robe. Then he says, “O God, praise be to You as You clothed me. I ask You for the good of him and the good of what was done to him, and I seek refuge in You from his evil and the evil of what was done to him.” He narrated it Al-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawood
