وَعَن عِكْرِمَة قَالَ: رأيتُ ابنَ عَبَّاس يَأْتَزِرُ فَيَضَعُ حَاشِيَةَ إِزَارِهِ مِنْ مُقَدَّمِهِ عَلَى ظَهْرِ قَدَمِهِ وَيَرْفَعُ مِنْ مُؤَخَّرِهِ قُلْتُ لِمَ تَأْتَزِرُ هَذِهِ الْإِزْرَةَ؟ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يأتزرها. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
And on the authority of Ikrimah, he said: I saw Ibn Abbas wrap his garment, and he placed the hem of his garment from the front of it onto the back of his foot, and raised it from the back of it. I said, “Why are you wrapping yourself around?” This button down? He said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, girdling her. Narrated by Abu Dawood
