وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: إِنَّمَا نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ثَوْبِ الْمُصْمَتِ مِنَ الْحَرِيرِ فَأَمَّا الْعَلَمُ وَسَدَى الثَّوْبِ فَلَا بَأْسَ بِهِ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, only forbade the wearing of solid silk clothing. As for knowledge, If the garment is plain, there is nothing wrong with it. Narrated by Abu Dawood
