Hadith #51724
وَعَنْ ثَوْبَانَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّمَا أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي الْأَئِمَّةَ الْمُضِلِّينَ وَإِذَا وُضِعَ السَّيْفُ فِي أُمَّتِي لَمْ يُرْفَعْ عَنْهُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد والترمذيُّ
On the authority of Thawban, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “I only fear for my nation the misguided Imams, and when the sword is put upon my nation, It will be taken away from them until the Day of Resurrection.” Narrated by Abu Dawood and Al-Tirmidhi
